Fans On The Field

Unless you have been living under a rock this week, you have heard about Denver’s Pepsi Center and Invesco Field at Mile High.

The Democratic National Convention has left town and these stadiums are returning to their old form. They are now preparing to host Colorado’s upcoming athletic events.

The University of Colorado vs. Colorado State University football game is at Invesco Field tomorrow. The Broncos will be back there in two weeks. On September 28th the Fans On The Field 5K-10K walk/run will also take place at Invesco Field.

The race begins at the Invesco Field parking lot. It continues onto Coors Field and around the baseball diamond. It then moves through the streets of Downtown Denver and enters the Pepsi Center where the Nuggets, Avalanche, concerts perform. The race finishes back in Invesco Field and participants see themselves on the big video screen as they enter the stadium.

This 5K-10K walk/run was created to benefit The National Sports Center For The Disabled. If you want to walk or run through these stadiums, get some exercise, support a good cause, travel to Denver that weekend and need something fun and local to do, come on out and join me. A friend and I walked the 10K last year and we’re going to walk it again this year.
