Michael Holick, Vitamin D Lecture in Broomfield CO, December 3, 2008

If you live in the Denver, Boulder, Northern Colorado area this post is for you! I apologize to all non-Coloradoans for this geographic specific post, it’s just that this particular event only takes place in Broomfield, CO…

In March I wrote about Vitamin D and why it is so important to our health. I was inspired to write this post after hearing Michael Holick M.D., Ph.D lecture at a Functional Medicine Conference a couple years ago.

Holick is the leading Vitamin D researcher in the country. He is a bit of a renegade in his field (which I always love!). He is a smart, critical thinker (love that too). He’s an excellent public speaker who entertains and educates his audience all at the same time (the best way to learn new information, I think!)

The last time I heard Michael Holick speak he received a long and loud standing ovation from a room of over 300 medical doctors. I still rave about that lecture. For someone who speaks for a living and has heard thousands of people speak publicly; Holick is one of my all time favorites! When I found out he would be in Colorado again on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 I marked my calendar.

THIS LECTURE IS NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. If you have any interest in nutrition, if you’re curious about the amazing connection between food and health, or if you are specifically looking for information and prevention tips regarding osteoporosis, common cancers, diabetes, multiple sclerosis and other chronic diseases; I think you’ll LOVE this lecture.

Vitamin D plays a critical and truly fascinating role in all of these areas.
