Human Foods That Are Toxic To Dogs

There is some good research regarding humans eating garlic, a little red wine, and dark chocolate; but the research doesn’t fare as well for dogs.

According to the National Animal Poison Control Center, these foods are dangerous, and potentially fatal if ingested in high amounts by a dog.

CHOCOLATE: (especially baker’s chocolate)

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES:

COFFEE:

GRAPES and RAISINS:

ONIONS and ONION POWDER:

MOLDY SPOILED FOODS:

GARLIC:

PRODUCTS MADE WITH XYLITOL (natural sweetener):

AVOCADO:

MACADAMIA NUTS:

FATTY FOODS:

YEAST DOUGH:

SALT:

IBUPROFEN: This obviously isn’t a food, but high amounts can cause kidney failure in a dog.
