On The Road in New Jersey

I was teaching my wellness workshops in New Jersey this week.

I flew into Philly.

Then I drove the rental car across the Commodore Barry Bridge to New Jersey. Note, taking pictures of a bridge while driving 65 mph across the bridge is not the smartest thing in the world to be doing. Nonetheless, look how steady I held the camera!

All my supplies arrived ahead of me; I shipped them last week.

I taught four Healthy Discoveries workshops while I was there.

The first night I drove to Wilmington, Delaware for dinner.

The second night I went to the Reading Terminal Market in Philly and then I had dinner downtown.

The final night I dined in New Jersey. I think it is a novelty to drive 20 minutes in any given direction and be in a different state for dinner; that’s impossible to do in the West, so that’s why I like to take advantage of it in the East.

I’m ready to fly back across the country one more time,

equipped with my “chick-lit” leisure reading, and snacks for the four-hour flight.

Now I’m home and ready to repeat the same process in two weeks, except this time I’ll fly to the Northwest instead of the Northeast.

Note to all my email subscribers: There was a glitch in the Feedburner (email subscription) system. If you noticed a lack of posts this week, that’s why. I posted In Defense of Food Tuesday morning on my way out the door. You were all meant to receive that email on Tuesday afternoon; but Feedburner developed the “hiccups” that day and they continued for 48 hours.

I was prepared to publish posts from my hotel room…

…I didn’t because of the Feedburner glitch.

Things have now been resolved and I’ll be back to my regular schedule on Monday. Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
